Procedure –The leg’s superficial veins are injected; this allows the blood to flow normally at deeper veins, the ones that normally carry 90% of the blood in legs and that could very well carry 100%.
Your wellness is not at risk. This treatment allows the patient to carry on with daily activities such as exercise, walking and working. What is not allowed is to sunbathe the legs or to use any type of elastic support (bandages, stockings or elastic socks).
Hospitalization – Esclerotherapy is an ambulatory procedure, the patient does not need to stay in bed, is minimally invasive, non-surgical and requires local anesthesia.
